Okay peeps, I have delayed this entry for far too long..

Just some background info..

I toured the countries from Germany (Berlin) to Czech (Prague) to Poland (Warsaw) to Hungary (Budapest) to Austria (Vienna) back to Germany (Munich).

FYI, Budapest is called Budapest because the city is divided by the River Danube (Duo1 Nao3 He2) into Buda and Pest. (Buda is more expensive than Pest.)

This is a TOILET. Yes, in Europe, you have to pay a huge sum of money to use the toilet..In the winter, you can imagine how much we needed to use the toilet and how much we had to pay..

This toilet was decorated with pictures of angels and stars.. behind me is the soap dispenser and mirror..If you look closely enough, you can see the tap for the sink.

It's the 2nd day after my exams and I have totally lax-ed myself until it feels as if I've been nuah-ing for the past 2 months..HAHA!! Okay, maybe that was an exaggeration...abt 2 weeks?

As I step into my 21st year, I'm contemplating a totally chill party - only pizza, booze and music

I think anything else is so hard to plan.. And I'm not a good party organizer (i.e. handle crowds from pri school to uni in the same place - Is this even possible without making anyone feel awkward?!)

Anyways, I'm totally tired out from the dinner at Botak Jones..HAHA!! totally man..
What was I thinking?! What were we thinking??

Things I would like to do/will be doing over the hols:

• A lot of reading! (I'm deprived)
• A lot of watching! (Jap dramas and Heroes)
• Zoo Trip (provided the weather permits)
• CNJLB AGM (HAHA! It's a meeting for exchange of gossips..speaking of which! I just learnt something today!! OH MAN!)
• FINE DINING (part of school curriculum)
• Hero movie outing (for free! or at least at a discounted rate)
• CCA stuff to worry about
• Skipping X'mas!
• Sleeping (my dark rings...o.o) - bolded for the extra effect!
• Music! (I love A*mei!)
• Kbox (We should go someday!!)
• Exercising (once I get my energy back)
• Computer lessons (Yes, who wants to learn Microsoft Access with me?)
• Language lessons (Only if they aren't too expensive)

And so on.

I'm sneezing as I'm typing this..Only means one thing - I need to sleep now..

Yesterday was a crap day for me.. 2 hours of sleep and 20 hours of school...
My eyes were open but behind it, the brain was already dying..
HAHA!!
I hate the feeling..it's as if you're living on tomorrow's energy..
It's not good, right.. kind of shortens your life quite a bit..

It's already week 10.. in exactly 5 weeks, we'll be taking our exams and then HOLIDAY!!!
HAHA!!

Okay, I shouldn't be rejoicing..In fact, I shouldn't even be blogging but...aiyah..
my brain needs a SERIOUS rest..or it will implode or something..
My eyes need to close..they are like on reflex..it doesn't blink or close..the blinking mechanism has already shut down and I'm just 0_0..painful..

Ama finally blogs again

After weeks and weeks of only blog surfing (and not writing any on my own..haha!!), I'm back.

I decided that I should start organizing my life better and what better way by first organizing my past!!

So here goes,

School:
I won't say much except my grades are totally disgusting.. Sigh..

Fun:
Movies - watched Lust, Caution. A movie so controversial, I had to watch it!! I loved it!! Although many have said that it was not that nice vis a vis cut scenes and all..I think the story is so sad. Why didn't the guy cherish or develop the relationship with the girl? Why did he even let some random guy do it with her? Sigh..
And the silly girl thought that by entering his insane patriotic acts, he would eventually 'admit' his feelings for her.. (which he did in the end..but it was too late..)
The man who betrayed his nation for his own interest..still had some conscience but he didn't dare to look back or do something about it..He loved the girl but ultimately loved himself more..

I've been keeping my eyes and ears out for reviews on this movie.. and yeah, everytime I read a new article or listen to the radio, I gain a new insight into the many ways one can interpret the movie.. I guess that's the power of Lee Ang.. I loved 'Crouching tiger, Hidden dragon' too!! OMG..nice movie too..

I'm a sucker for chinese history..haha...even if it's just fictional.. Look at how I went all head over heels over the Legend and the Return of Condor Heroes..haha!! The movie was adapted from a book by Eileen Zhang. Powerful women always fascinate me especially women from the past since women weren't always given equal rights back then. How they managed it I don't know but I'm definitely impressed.

Drama - recently, I watched All In on crunchyroll.com. It was something I was always curious about. When it was aired on TV, I didn't manage to watch everything so I always wanted to know the ending...and I'm glad I did because it's soo nice! (happy endings!!)

Speaking of happy endings, I liked the Beginning's ending too!! (happy ending!)

haha!! As I blog, I feel myself smiling as I recall all the fun stuff..and for a moment, the stress and worries leave me..

Oh well, then now they are back.

Nevertheless, I'm glad that I always have people I can crap to!! Although, I know sometimes I can just become "unfriendly" and not talk..which is bad..cos I need to appreciate my friends more..Sigh..
Especially online..when I start falling asleep in front of the comp and can't hold a decent MSN conversation with any of my friends..haha!!

Fatigue brings out the worst in me..

I haven't stepped into a movie theatre since 4 months ago? Okay, the last movie I watched in a theatre was probably Harry Potter..-_- Harry Potter was not 4 months ago but I think before Harry Potter, the latest movie was Shrek..
FYI, I watched Pirates 3 on the internet...

IT's been a LONG while

I have a silly campaign to quit my addiction of coffee..and it's taking effect..
I have stopped drinking coffee since I returned from Sydney..
(Particularly because the day after I touched down, I was immediately at the SMUX Camp where I lost touch with all normal civilization for 3 days. The next day, I was at Suntec Convention Centre at 6am to prepare for Convocation rehearsals and even then, I was not tempted by Starbucks. On Convocation Day itself too!!)

It seems like it's going fine..but it's not..
I've been wearing a 'I'm super tired and dying' look to school.
Throughout SMUX camp, all my freshies were saying how tired I was..though I wasn't really very tired..

School has since started and I haven't had the opportunity to drink coffee..so yeah..we'll see how long this keeps up..

Okay, back to where I was..
on friends..

I don't know if I'm being overly-sensitive but there are some kind of friendships that develop almost instantly..
i think there's a cheng2 yu3 for it.It's called 'yi1 jian4 ru2 gu4'..haha!!
So I guess it's always been around since ancient times since the Chinese have already developed a vocabulary for that..HAHA

It's interesting right??

There are some people you see and you think, I want to be her friend..haha!! or something like that lah..

Kinda like me and the lady at work..

(I didn't intentionally ignore her lah..more like, we didn't speak to each other.)

Then there's always this awkwardness because I have to pass her table on my way to both the pantry and the toilet..And the fact that she sits the same bus as me home just makes it even more awkward that we're not talking, in that sense.

Nevertheless, I tried to mind my own business lah..
Then, we had the induction course together.. (like factory visit and market visit)
Got this feeling that she wanted to talk to me or something but I always only smiled at her cos really don't know what to say...

But the problem is, if I don't talk to her or something, she'll have this very "like why aren't you talking to me" look. Is there even something like that?

Yeah..so anyways, I started to speak to her..haha!! We talk a lot on the bus and even during work...so much so that her boss thinks she has too little work..HAHA!!

It's a Thursday morning in the office..It's almost 10 and there's no one around so I'm sort of managing stuff around..

I can't get much things done because NO ONE's around..

But then I don't know what to say, except for the fact that this internship experience has been an eye-opener and I know more now to make a decision on the kind of life I'm gonna lead when I graduate from school..

The day's going pretty well

HAHA!! It was indeed a great start to a happy day!!

Many people said that my hair was nice. 0_O I let it down today because I just cut it yesterday. So it's of a length that's not too lion king-y..HAHAHAH!!

My boss said, "Yes, amanda, you should keep this up."
Then I went, "Huh?" (as usual right?)
Him: Your hair..Like that then layer a bit (I didn't wanna tell him that it was already layered..**Refer below**) You look more professional and people will take you seriously.
Me: Oh, okay..hurhur..

-Silence-

HAHA!!
That's how the conversation ended.

Then later on, I smiled to 2 ladies at work..on my way to the toilet or something.
Then one of them said, "Wah, ni jian tou fa ah?"
Me: Orh, dui lor.
Her: Mei leh!
Me: -smiling- haha! shi mah. wo zhi shi jian tou fa, (okay, i should start translating it into english) I only cut my hair..cos too hot mah..(I didn't disclose the fact that it was also because of too many split ends..haiz..)
Her: Like this prettier!!
Me: Oh! okay.. smiles..
Her: Try colour?
Me: Er..no need la.
Her: Try colour lah!
Me: Er..no need la.
Her: Why don't want colour, not interested?
Me: Er..no la..no need la.

Then we started some small talk like "How was work? busy?"
Then the other lady asked me where I lived (cos all 3 of us take the same bus home)
So I was trying hard to recall the route.. cos I'm always sleeping on the bus...or at least in a daze..

Then end of conversation 1.

When I came back, one of the ladies spoke to me again.

Her: Wah! You know a lot of people asking where you cut your hair leh!!
Me: Huh? Orh.. haha..

Amazing right?
I didn't know people noted these things..

As in, I don't have many people coming up to me and talking to me but they are still curious..

so interesting..

And it's not like I went to Reds or something..
The haircut cost $22 bucks if you're wondering..
normal lah..

and I was very direct at the hairdresser's..
haha!! i remember telling the lady hairdresser

I want side-parting then cut a bit shorter.
HAHA!!! Like ordering like that..so straightforward.. (That's because I went on my own to cut..)
So she asked me, "2 inches?"
Then I looked at my hair..There was like half a minute of silence cos I didn't know how long 2 inches was..HAHAH!!!
Then in the end, I just said, "okay"
Then she continued, "and then layer a bit." **See above**
Me: Erm, okay.

Then she chopped chopped finish the cut within half an hour..
haha!!

A good start to a happy day

My boss just said my work was 'okay'.
So I'm feeling quite happy.
hehe..

hope the day continues well..

busy and the stomach upset which nearly killed me in my sleep

It's been days since my 'angry' post and the storm has died down..
In fact, it died down many days ago but I've always been too busy and tired to update the blog..

Last night, I had the worst sleep in the longest time ever.
At around 4am in the morning, while I was soundly asleep, I felt this acute pain in my stomach so I woke up to go to the toilet..

Then it started to become more painful and there was no way of stopping it..

I kept having the runs and I could feel my knees go weak..haha!!
It's the worse way to wake up..
HAHA!!

So I quickly popped a Charcoal pill (it wasn't Po Chai pills this time around) and went back to bed.

The whole day went on as a mini detox exercise..

I couldn't sit through the day w/o going to the toilet twice..

I'm recalling the food I have been eating this couple of days and I have a few suspects:

Highest probability of it causing my stomach upset:
1. 'Coffee Lovers' - It's a drink sold at Mr Tea. I was in school on wed night for a meeting and after I drank it, I felt like puking because the Milo powder was too powerful..and the coffee was too intense too.

2. Lunch outside with my boss. (This is less likely because the food really tasted good..haha!)

3. Krispy Kreme doughnuts from Australia. (I think quite unlikely too but my younger brother actually put a cold doughnut into the microwave oven to heat it up.) - dodgy practice.

Oh well, see how things go la.

Work's really busy..
Sigh and there's not enough manpower..
Everyone's missing..

Warning: This is an angry post.

I am very angry now.
I am very angry still.
Taking in deep breaths but I am still angry.

I am very tired.
I know myself well enough to know that when I am tired, my fuse is very short.
My fuse has fused and I am angry.

This occurs because people tend to become very self-centred at times. I'm too tired to bear with this kind of nonsense.
It's just worse when these people are family.

I don't have to put up with this. Simply because no one else does.

If anyone is curious about the reasons for my anger, the gist of it is coming home to find out that your absence is the reason for everyone else's problems.

Never knew I was this important.

Or maybe it's just easier to blame the person who doesn't know what's going on.

VERY VERY VERY ANGRY.

busy busy busy and a person from my past

I guess once you let work consume you, you really have very little time for yourself..

That's why I appreciate the time I spend listening to my iPod as I travel along..

It's when I dream and get lost in my thoughts..
(But I think many other people find it very unfriendly..Sigh)

but getting too caught up with dreams is bad too because you lose touch with reality..

Today I saw my Primary school teacher on the bus home!!
She looked a little older from when I last saw her..That was almost 10 years ago btw.. (SOO LONG!!)
I didn't notice her until I was about to leave the bus..
I was listening to my iPod and lost in my thoughts before that..

I don't know if she remembers me or not..but yeah, she was always kinda special..

If I could turn back the hands of time, I would have said: It's been a long time, nice to see you again.
But I wouldn't have the guts to do that..Still, I should at least have smiled or something..

On a side note, I think I'm doing a really bad job at work..
Sigh, demoralised and helpless..

Can't wait for the weekend to come so I can have a break from the mental torture.. I'm not going to avoid it but I need a breather..

Thursday:
My dad invited a couple of Nihonjins for dinner. Things were not all smooth-sailing because I was reprimanded for being too sloppy with my dress code by my dad..
Nevertheless, I managed to keep smiling through the dinner (and after that as well). The guests were very polite and nice..Kept commenting how my Japanese was very good.. HAHA!!
So we managed to break the ice by speaking in Japanese..
The food was good too!!

Saturday:
For some strange reason or probably the fact that I'm just tired, I woke up almost around noon time if I don't remember wrongly.
After lunch and grocery shopping I was all set for a lazy afternoon when my brother announced that he needed the car to play soccer..
The problem was my mum needed to go somewhere too! and she was meeting a Turkish friend for dinner.
So I was dragged to town with my mum to kill time before her appointment and my brother could use the car.
Which I soon found out wasn't a bad thing because GSS this year was actually not CROWDED!!
WHERE HAVE ALL THE PEOPLE GONE???
A: Most prob they are all on holiday.
So I bought myself a new blouse for work!

Muahahaha...then I managed to crash my mum's dinner with her turkish friend and her children..
Drank beer!! ate pizza, pasta, fries, etc!! Sinful!! and unhealthy..
Then we topped the night with NewZealand Icecream..

Sunday:
I went out with my cousin for lunch and movie..
We had some super nice indonesian cuisine and we watched Zodiac..some gory scenes and good acting but poor plot..I guess because it is based on a true story..
Then I topped the outing with Ben & Jerry's..ooh! I think I had coffee cofee, etc etc..the name of the flavour didn't leave an impression but the flavour certainly did!!

Next, dinner was another sin..All deep fried! Fish & Chips!!
There were onion rings, wedges and curly fries!! RAWR!!
I ate until I feel quite queasy now..HAHA!!!

Sigh, today's the day I work alone..and am STILL working..haha!!

But my bosses aren't around..I would never have the guts to do this if they were here..

I have very little to do today and my phone call was postponed for an hour so here I am..

I am so scared..haha..I'm half-expecting the IT Dept to capture this disallowed act..haha~~
and they will barge up to where I am and pull out the connection or something..

Luckily, today's been rather peaceful except for the fact I got startled when the cleaner auntie came in while I was listening to my iPod and trying to figure out some complicated company policy..

I guess she only saw me listening to my iPod but didn't catch me struggling to come up with a plan for my project..

Bleah..

It's Tuesday and the only things on my mind are dates when the company's deposits are maturing..like !? -_-''

My boss was rather nice.he told me to finish my work chop-chop then leave the office early..BUT the problem is I take the bus home anyway..so I still have to wait till 5.30pm..

sigh..today's been rather unproductive but I think unproductive is better than destructive...
hah!

It's really weird to be alone in the office...but it's comfortable...
like I can walk about and snooze because lunch was too filling..HAHA!!

On usual days, I pinch myself to stay awake (so I have this bruise on my thigh..haha) but today I completely KO-ed..only for short but multiple periods.. haha!!

I can't wait to have my cheesecake and coffee!!! RAWR!!
The last time I had a cheesecake was with the Jap girls I think...We would always go for the secret recipe or Cartel ones...

My, now that is really quite some time ago.. The girls have left for Australia and Japan for almost 2-3 months!! I need my cake and brownies..

I'm back from a movie outing..It almost didn't become one because of the huge crowd at vivocity.

Alas, even the massive vivocity couldn't contain the masses that came because of the holiday..so I couldn't watch Pirates. Instead, I watched Shrek..Which was lovable.. :)

The humour was great!! You have to admit that animation now is bringing movies to a whole new level..

Sigh, there's work tomorrow..so I'm still quite worried..

My bosses are gonna leave me alone in the office this coming Tuesday because 3 of them will be in HK and one of them has taken leave for Tuesday..

From what they mentioned yesterday, I will be waiting in the office for their emails and carrying out duties they assign from emails..

Like how stressful?!?!?!?!


Sigh....

My bosses comments so far have been:

• You have to be very careful.

• You have to learn to CYA (cover your a*s)

Sigh... Life's really complicated sometimes.. but I guess I have to learn..

But guess what, this morning when I went to a temple for Vesak Day, I was totally not careful at all..

When we were taking food, I scalded myself..

When I was helping the small 'buddha' bathe, I actually toppled him over...

So he was submerged in flower water for almost half a minute before the helper managed to find him..

SORRY!!! : (

I'm filled with embarrassment and regret..

Even when I tried to throw rubbish away, the rubbish wouldn't enter the bin properly..Sigh..

I must be having problems with my nerves and muscles..

I'm just not a careful person I guess...

My new year resolution is to be more careful from now on..

Anyways, back to the title of this entry..

I was browsing through blogs and I'm quite determined to have a meal at Starbucks soon..

My ideal day would be to have Java Chip/Green Tea Frapp. and have a cheesecake/muffin/brownie..or maybe I should call it an ideal lunch..
Then I'll just idle my time away in my indulgence..
Can't wait for that day to come.. : )

About booze...my bro's having a party with his friends next week and he's the host because he did damn well for his exams..and they had a promise or sth that whoever got the best grades would have to treat the rest.. (Sigh, if only i could do the same..)

So yay! My dad bought lotsa booze for my bro..
I'm hoping to be able to have some.. *fingers crossed* : )

Thanks to my work, I'm suddenly very interested in cigarettes.. (Note: I said 'cigarettes', not 'smoking'..) I found myself examining different brands of cigarettes at the counter earlier and looking at the prices..

The fact that she's my niece means she has to call me 'auntie' and my brothers 'uncle'. So when she saw my younger bro, my aunt asked her to call 'uncle'. Then she went, "No, this is a kor kor." Then when my mum asked her, "so am I a 'jiejie'?" She said, "NO."


My mum went insane..


HAHAH!!


The next time she came, my mum was like, "If you call me 'jiejie', I will don't know do what, [can't remember cos I was tipsy (This is another story)]" Anyways, Claire called her jiejie in the end, so she was elated..





So she went on and 'bullied' the poor girl.. while she enjoyed being called a jiejie, she tried to get numbers out of the poor girl..I think she could only write 'one'...so yeah, if u want to buy 4D, buy 1111..haha!! and if u win, i don't care, i'll share the wins..

I just realised that it seems as if we're holding hands or something..but please don't misunderstand...if you look closely, my hands are hidden..yeah..cos I was holding the camera pouch!! And my bro's leaning against a table or something..




According to my mum, we got our 'white teeth' from my dad. My younger bro inherited her 'yellow teeth'.
